Corpus Christi, Texas - On Wednesday, Nueces County Judge Missy Madery revoked A.B. Quintanilla's, 53, community supervision and ordered him into custody during a child non-payment support hearing. Quintanilla allegedly owes $87,000 in child support since 2012, which he had failed to make full payments as required. Quintanilla has eight children. He actually made a $16.84 child support payment in September 2015, according to court records.
William Dudley, Quintanilla's attorney told media outlets that his client had paid all of the child support, which was supposed to be paid, but the Texas State Attorney General's office and Nueces County court records indicate otherwise.
Judge Madery told Quintanilla during the court hearing on Wednesday that she wants him to think about his "responsibility as a father" is and his child's rights while he sits in jail. Judge Madery has not scheduled the next court hearing on the case, Quintanilla will sit in jail for now.
Quintanilla's ex, Summer Clary filed a non-payment of child support for her son who is now 18-years-old.
Quintanilla, is a former band member of the Kumbia Kings and brother of the late Selena. In late July, he was listed as one of the ten most wanted in Nueces County in the State of Texas for non-payment of child support and contempt of court.
