Shannon Buhler Arrested After DUI And Wrong-way Crash On I-894

Buhler crashed head on with a box truck on I-894 & I-43 going the wrong-way on the highway.

Greenfield, WI - On Sunday, Shannon Buhler, 24, of West Allis was taken into custody after going eastbound on westbound highway lanes on I-894 & I-43 near 92 Street and crashing head on with a box truck and striking a Cadillac, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The three vehicle crash happen around 2:28 a.m. on early Sunday.
Buhler was taken to Froedtert Hospital for a broken arm after being extracted from her vehicle by the Greenfield Fire Department first responders and under went surgery. She was taken into custody. She is facing DUI first offense charges, going the wrong-way on a highway and 2nd-degree reckless endangerment. If convicted, Buhler is facing up to 12 years in prison.
A press release by Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. says, he ordered a continued aggressive weekend Driving Under the Influence (DUI) initiative to rid the Milwaukee County freeway system of drunken drivers. This weekend's Operation Drive Sober initiative, from Friday at 4:00 p.m. through Sunday at 6:00 a.m., resulted in the arrest of 16 drunken drivers. The average PBT result was 14.
Repeat offenders arrested were : Daniel Iverson, age 42, of Glendale, DUI-5th/Hit and Run; DUI-3rd offenders: James Nash, age 49, and Eric Knaebe, age 22, both of Milwaukee; DUI-2nd offenders: Ryan Ferguson, age 28, of Cedarburg; Juan Ontiveros-Zavala, age 26, of West Allis; and Milwaukee residents Soom Boonnam, age 36, Marco Ocegueda, age 23, and Jonathan Adams, age 31.
First-time offenders taken into custody were: Shannon Buhler, age 24, of West Allis, DUI- 1st/Wrong Way on Highway; Milwaukee residents Carrie Knapp, age 35, Elisa Neubacher, age 21, Deandre Euell, age 30, and Warithuddin Majeed, age 25. Also arrested were Robert Schroeder, age 26, of Lake Mills; William Newman, age 21, of Madison; and Ronald Smith, age 62, of Cudahy, according to the MCSO.
