Stantavious Armond Sillas Arrested After K-9 Police Dogs Tracked Him To A Brush In Mount Pleasant

Suspect arrested while hiding in a brush, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office.

Village of Mount Pleasant, WI - The Racine County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) reported that Stantavious Armond Sillas, 20, aka, "Stan" was arrested after K-9 police dogs working with Mount Pleasant police and Racine police tracked Sillas to a brush where he was hiding at the 5300 block of Taylor Ave. on Monday afternoon. Sillas was identified and taken into custody after a self-inflicted wound.
Sillas had threaten to shoot himself, none of the law enforcement agencies that responded to the scene fired a shot. Sillas suffered a self-inflicted wound and was taken to the Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for treatment, his condition is unknown, according to the RCSD.
Sillas was wanted in connection for abducting a woman at gun point on Sunday around 3:00 p.m. from the Racine Neurological Center near Waterford. Silla afterwards fired multiple shots at a Racine County Sheriff's deputy at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot and fled into a nearby woods alone. The kidnapped woman managed to escape from Sillas.
Sillas is considered armed and dangerous.
Five schools in the area where Sillas disappeared on Monday had canceled classes. The Union Grove High School, Union Grove Elementary, Raymond School District, both Yorkville Elementary and Kansasville Grade schools were closed for safety reasons.
