Officer Days backs away and the passenger, Jerame C. Reid, 36, (Afro-American) opens his door without being asked too and comes out with his two hands up. Officers Days and Worley then fired their service weapons fatally striking Reid 9 times.
Officer Days didn't even asked both men, if they had a weapon in the vehicle or a permit for the handgun after he noticed it.
Tutt was placed in custody, according to police.
Both officers have been place on administrative duty pending the outcome of a criminal investigation conducted by the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office, the New Jersey State Police and the Bridgeton Police Department.
Witnesses and a retired police officer indicated that Reid was unarmed and with his hands up when shot by the officers.
