Police are investigating an armed robbery of a South side Western ware store.

Milwaukee, WI - Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Tianguis Western Wear, 1215 S. Cesar E. Chavez Dr., on Saturday, January 25, around 7:40 p.m. A lone suspect walked into the store tried some clothes and then went to the cashier register and took out a handgun. The suspect then demand money from the store owner and the left with some clothes on. An undetermined amount of money was taken.
Police described the suspect as a Black male, around 25-years-old, 6' tall and weights about 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and medium complexion and light mustache. He was last seen wearing a white knit skull cap, a dark gold shiny zip up coat with a hood, stone washed blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. The suspect was carrying two white plastic bags, according to police.Milwaukee Police Officer Michael Kopel from the Southside 2nd District Police Station says, that a series of armed robberies have occurred at night before midnight by several Hispanic males driving a small light SUV. The suspects have robbed victims walking in sidewalks and alleys in a five block radius from W. Scott Street and S. Cesar E. Chavez Dr.
