Mexico City - Intelligence sources indicate that its just a matter of time when two of the major Sinaloa drug cartel leaders, Joaquin Guzman Loera, aka, "El Chapo" and Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia are taken into custody alive or dead. The U.S. has offered a $5M reward for any information leading to their whereabouts and the Mexican government has offered at least $3M for each suspect.
The U.S. indicted both Loera and Garcia for drug trafficking and money laundering, which extradition to the U.S. will be a priority for the DEA to avoid Loera from ever escaping from prison again as he did 11 years ago and has remained on the run from Mexican and U.S. authorities.
The anti-drug task force, including INTERPOL have been tracking the movements of both wanted drug lords and their expanded web of drug trafficking in Central and South America, the U.S. and europe.
The arrest of both drug lords will be a major blow to the billion dollar Sinaloa drug trafficking operations originating in Mexico and no doubt, high ranking corrupt political and law enforcement officials protecting Loera and Garcia will also face their day in court.
