Cleveland,  Ohio - On Tuesday, police in Cleveland confirmed that on Monday just before 6:00 p.m. a 911 call was received by Amanda Berry, that she was alive and had escaped along with her young daugther from her kidnappers. The 911 call, "Help me, I'm Amanda Berry. I've been kidnapped and I've been missing for ten years and I'm here. I'm free now."
A neighbor, Charles Ramsey had just walked back from a fast food restaurant and was standing on his porch eating a burger when he heard frantic screams calling out for help from next door. He then helped break the bottom of a door and managed to get Berry and her daughter out from the abductors home.
Berry, 27, had been missing since 2003, ten years. When police arrived to investigate they discovered that Georgina De Jesus, 23,  and Michelle Knight, 31, were also in the home. De Jesus was missing since 2004 and Knight had been reported missing in 2002.
Three brothers, Pedro Castro, 54, Ariel Castro, 52, and Onil Castro, 50, were later taken into custody for kidnapping the women. The women had been missing in the same neighborhood and some relatives had lived nearby where they were being held.
Berry had a child, Jocelyn, 6, from one of the captors. All of the women are healthy, two have been reunited with their families who never lost hope of finding them again.
