Boston, MA - The Boston Marathon bombings death toll stands at 3, they were identified as  Krystle Campbell, 29, Martin Richard, 8, and Lingzi Lu or Lu Lingzi a Chinese national. More than 176 people were reported injured with 10 losing their limbs (legs, arms and feet), including Richard's 6-year-old sister who lost a leg. At least 17 people were reported in critical condition and 25 were in serious condition.
The first small bomb device exploded at 2:50 p.m. near the finish line and seconds afterwards a second bomb exploded about one block away injuring multiple runners and spectators near by.
The first bomb exploded four hours after the 26.2 mile marathon race began. More than 27,000 runners participated in this year's Patriot Day marathon race. The race was temporarily suspended.
Federal investigators are investigating the bombings as a "terrorist attack."
No one has claimed responsibility, according to feds who have taken over the crime scene and investigation.
