Madison, WI - The Wisconsin Democratic Party confirmed that staffer Graeme J. Zielinski, the state party spokesperson has been removed from his position and is banned from posting anymore tweets in their Twitter account after posting, "(at) GovWalker had better lawyers than Jeffrey Dahmer in beating the rap. Clear that he committed crime." Democrats say, the posting was inappropriate and state Democratic Party Chair Mike Tate apologized in a statement and called the tweets "overzealous and insensitive."
Zielinski will remain as an adviser to the party, after deleting his tweets and then apologising to Governor Walker and the Dahmer victims families.
He posted multiple tweets about Walker on Friday, after John Chisholm, the Milwaukee County District Attorney announced he had closed the John Doe investigation that resulted in 6 convictions, which included several Walker aids, an appointee and a campaign donor while Walker was the Milwaukee County executive.
No other charges are expected to be filed in the John Doe case. Walker won't be charged either of any wrongdoing while he was a County executive.
