21-year-old Man Injured In Milwaukee Southside Hit-and-Run Incident

Hit-and-run victim left with two broken legs along W. National Ave.

Milwaukee,  WI - On Saturday, police were investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a 21-year-old man laying on the Westbound lane of W. National Ave. at the 3100 block. Witnesses say, a light color vehicle going Eastbound slammed into the victim as he crossed the street. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m.
The victim suffered twl broken legs and was severely injured by the impact, according to witnesses who were trying to provide aid to the victim before fire rescue personnel and police arrived.
The hit-and-run driver did stop after hitting the victim. Police will try to get video surveillance footage from several businesses located in the block.
The street was reopen for traffic shortly after 4:05 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital, according to police.
