Truck Driver Rear Ended Two Roofing Men While Loading Their Tools In Van

Three people in critical condiction after truck rear ends a roofing van.

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, A blue truck going northbound on S. Layton Blvd. lost control and reared ended a roofing van at the 2200 S. Layton Blvd. at about 3:10 p.m. Two roofing worker's identified as Pedro Francisco Cortez, 32, and Reynaldo Mexicano, the owner of Reynaldo's Roofing were critically injured when they were strucked and pinned between the blue truck and the rear end of their van. Cortez suffered a broken right leg and was critically injured. Reynaldo suffered a leg injury as well.
Both Cortez and Reynaldo had been replacing a roof and had finished today and were putting away their tools after working at the site for three weeks, according to the homeowner.
Two other vehicles were also hit and damaged in the chain reaction crash. 
Cortez, Reynaldo and the male driver of the blue truck were taken to Froedtert Hospital. A woman and another man who were in the passanger area of the blue truck received minor injuries.
Northbound traffic was diverted from the accident scene, while police reconstruct the accident.
