Both incumbents, Milwaukee County Supervisors, Peggy West from the 12th District and Marina Dimitrijevich from the 4th District addressed several questions from those attending Tuesday's debate event.

Milwaukee - On Tuesday, Sylvia Ortiz, a 12th District County Supervisor candidate and Bill Buresh, a candidate for Milwaukee County Supervisor in the 4th District were absent from Tuesday's Southside Organizing Committee (SOC) debates. Ortiz on Monday announced, that she had decided to declined to participate in the debates. Buresh also declined to particpate, but no information has been released for his reasons to skip the debates. The south side debates were sponsored by SOC, Voces de la Frontera and three other non-profit groups.
Ortiz stated, she didn't find it prudent to attend an event sponsored by SOC and particular participating sponsors, claiming "obvious bias" and "self serving interests." She will continue going door to door to talk to people in the 12th District who can vote, according to Ortiz.
Ortiz alleged that board members from certain groups have shown bias and have already been supporting their candidates making the debate a politically bias event.
Voces de la Frontera Action (VDLFA) has endorsed multiple candidates for various public office positions in Milwaukee. Thus, making the debates a partisan event and unfair for other candidates in the race to get elected and address issues, according to residents in the area.
Voces de la Frontera (VDLF), a non-profit organization is affiliated with VDLFA.
The debates were held on Tuesday at the Ascension Lutheran Church, 1236 S. Layton Blvd.
