One Gunshot Homicide And Two Vehicular Homicides Reported By Milwaukee Police In New Year's Day

Family and friends held a candle light vigil on Sunday evening for Trevon Johnson, the first reported fatal shooting victim of the New Year.

Milwaukee - Police responded to the first reported gunshot homicide just hours into the New Year 2012 in the northside of the city. Police found Trevon Johnson, 23, aka, "Monty" fatally shot in a parked vehicle and a woman with non-life threatening wounds near N. 29th and W. Townsend Streets.
Johnson had left a New Year's party when the shooting occurred. Johnson died at the secne and the unidentified was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Family and friends held a candle light vigil on Sunday night and set up a temperary makeshift memorial at the site.
The second reported homicides were reported shortly before 6:00 a.m. at N. 27th Street and W. St. Paul Ave. Where a 17-year-old driver believed to be intoxicated who was speeding north, hit a crub causing his vehicle to be airborne into another vehicle at a stop. A married couple who had just left Potawatomi Bingo Casino were reported killed in the other vehicle. The suspect fled the scene, but was arrested several hours later, according to police. The teenager is facing multiple charges, two counts for vehicular homicide.
Police have not released the name of the victims pending family notification.
