"El Conta Asesino" Zeta Leader In Charge Of Kidnappings, Killing Victims, Burning Bodies After Ransom Was Paid, Captured In Hidalgo, Mexico

Hidalgo, Mexico (HNNUSA) - On Friday, the Federal Secretary of Public Security and the Mexican Federal Police confirmed that 7 members of Los Zetas were arrested at a federal police highway check point in the state of Hidalgo. Last Wednesday, police took into custody, Jorge Luis Bolaños Morales, aka, "El Conta Asesino," the presumed leader of the Zetas operating in the municipality of Huejutla. Morales is accused of ordering at least eight kidnappings and after collecting ransom had the victims tortured, murdered and their bodies burned. Other charges against Morales include, drug manufacturing and trafficking, weapons possesion, extortion and operating an underground money order business and engaging in distributing and selling prirated merchandise. He apparently paid municipal officials to operate his businesses.
Morales and 6 other men were travelling in two vehicles without license plates near highway crossings at Atlapasco to San Felipe Orizatlan and National, when he was stopped at a check point. The driver of the first vehicle told federal police that they were actually Zetas and had authority to operate in the area and were protected by state of Hidalgo authorities. A federal officer noticed the driver carrying a handgun in his waist belt and proceeded to detain the group of Zetas in both vehicles.
Police found weapons, drugs and a ledger showing payoffs to officials. They were taken into custody and transported to Mexico city for further investigation and proceedings.
The other Zeta suspects were identified by federal police as: Ftancisco Javier Salazar Barrón, 37, of Tamazuchale, San Luis Potosi; Andrés Gómez Fernández, 29, of Huejutla, Hidalgo; José Alejandro Gómez Fernández, 27, of Huejutla: Mario Enrique Ibarra Lara, 19, of Huejutla; Jacinto Godinez Castañeda, 33, of Matamoros, Tamaulipas and Estefany de la Fuente Castillo, 20, from Madero, Tamaulipas.
